Williamsburg is one of my favorite areas to explore. I feel as if there is a new cute café or restaurant opening on every corner. Before the L closes and makes it way harder to get over to Williamsburg, there are a few spots you MUST visit for brunch! Ranging from a twist on a classic egg sandwich, to chicken and waffles, to pancakes, you can’t go wrong with any of these options. Below are my picks (in no particular order)
SWEATSHOP COFFEE
Hidden in the middle of a busy intersection, Sweatshop Coffee is an Australian inspired espresso bar & café. With menu items ranging from an acai bowl, to the brekkie bun (fried egg, bacon, cheese, onion jam, and arugula), to their B.L.A.T. (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato – pictured above), you can hardly go wrong, let alone with their highly Instagramable signage.

LE BARRICOU
Le Barricou is a restaurant which prepares southern, traditional French dishes, but makes some of the fluffiest pancakes in NYC! These pancakes are oven baked to order taking over 40 minutes to bake, so plan to have a leisurely meal, just as the French do! Their pancakes also have strawberry butter on top, which is an interesting kick.

JULIETTE
Can’t make it to Paris but want the next best thing? Head to Juliette, which has the most adorable seating area with beautiful vines hanging from the ceiling. The seating area is enough to make you want to go, but their food is just as good! I recommend the grilled chicken sandwich, or their roasted banana stuffed toast.

SWEET CHICK
And last but not least.. Sweet Chick! Sweet Chick is a favorite for a reason, some of the best chicken and waffles! Albeit a bit on the pricy side (but what in NYC isn’t), you get what you pay for. Sweet Chick is known for serving southern comfort food but with a rustic twist. The chicken and waffles are $17, and you have a choice of Waffle: Classic, Bacon-Cheddar, Dried Cherry, Rosemary-Mushroom, Apple Cinnamon or Spiced-Pecan. Highly recommend the Apple Cinnamon!
